The self-proclaimed “King of New York” 6ix9ine has returned to social media after a month in hiding.
“BROOKLYN THIS MY TOWN NEW YORK THIS MY CITYYYY YOU HEAR ME!?!?! KING OF F*****G NEW YORK YA COULD NEVA DO WHAT I DID AND BE OUTSIDE DUMMY!” reads his latest post on Instagram. 6ix9ine has been offline since his last release “YAYA”. And now he returns with a brand new track and video “PUNANI”, filmed on the streets of his old neighborhood in Brooklyn. From a local McDonald’s on Broadway to the Williamsburg bridge, Tekashi flaunts his freedom (and car collection) all over the borough for all his haters and critics to see.
In addition to new music, Tekashi also launched a merch store online, 6ix9inestore.com. There he’s selling hoodies, shirts, accessories, and even limited edition vinyl and cassettes for his new track.
All in all, 6ix9ine seems to be near untouchable since his release, and he continues to rub it in everyone’s faces. Before he disappeared in the last few weeks, he teased a collaboration with Akon, stating he was in album mode. He hasn’t mentioned anything about an album since that Akon snippet. So the question remains, is a new album on the horizon, more trolling, or will he go another month M.I.A. Regardless, one thing is for sure, Tekashi isn’t his mouth anytime soon.
Let us know how you feel about the new track, and if you believe that he is the reigning “King of New York” he claims himself to be!
