Lil Durk has been in straight savage mode since the 2018 release of “Just Cause Y’all Waited.” 2 years later, he is back with the sequel “Just Cause Y’all Waited 2.”

The album features 15-tracks with features from Lil Baby, Polo G, Gunna & G-Herbo. Throughout the album, Lil Durk expresses himself on a whole other level. He is making constant references to his childhood and upbringing while living in Chicago.

Debuting in the top ten for hip hop releases, JCYW2 marks the rarest and most heartfelt album to date from the Chicago rapper. Every track, every word gives perspective on Durk’s life growing up. Standouts from the album include “3 Headed Goat” Ft. Lil Baby & Polo G and “Gucci,” Ft. Gunna. Overall, the project shared insight for the unspoken struggle people goes through in the hoods of the world. Factors such as being raised in the ghetto, hustling in questionable ways to make ends meet, and losing family and friends along, made Lil Durk the well-rounded artist he is today.

JCYW2 is the first project Durk released since “Love Songs 4 The Streets 2″, which made Top-5 Billboard last year. Outside of music, Lil Durk has been keeping himself very busy during this pandemic of the novel coronavirus. He released his edition of Audiomack’s Trap Symphony earlier this week, performing “No Auto Durk,” “Home Body,” & “Dis Ain’t What You Want.”

Also, Lil Durk has been giving back to his hometown. In late April, he partnered with a local restaurant, PHLAVZ, providing meals to frontline workers at Chicago’s Rush Hospitals. He is planning to do another drive in Atlanta, giving away gloves and masks to healthcare workers and at-risk communities.

“Just Cause Y’all Waited 2” is available for streaming on all music platforms. Take a listen to Durk’s newest project down below.
